Nettleleaf horsemint
medicinal Mints
Mints are a wonderful way to begin a healing journey with herbs.
They are generally considered safe and have many uses. Nettleleaf Horsemint is absolutely one of those plant allies. Like all mints, she is great for digestion, stomach aches, and colds. She loves to relieve minor and severe pains in the back and associated with rheumatism. She can be used internally, as well as externally as a poultice of mashed up leaves and applied to swellings. One of her surprising and very exciting traits is to help us with dreamwork or “Lucid Dreaming”.
Another wonderful plant for the dreamers!
Nettleleaf Horsemint Wild Harvest
AGASTACHE URTICIFOLIA
A perennial herb in the Lamiaceaea (mint) family, Native to Western North America, with a tall, erect stem, that can grow to more than 4 feet. She has widely spaced, lanceolate leaves that are toothed and almost triangular. The dense inflorescence is a large spike with a ton of tubular blooms in purple, pink, and white. Blooming in mid-summer, she loves disturbed soil and tolerates heat. A highly aromatic lady, with a minty and anise-like scent, she is favored by bees and butterflies, and would be a fantastic ally to use in habitat restoration projects!
